Our Programs
Soroptimist International of Mountain Morning provides financial support, career mentorship, and other supports for local women and girls. We fundraise throughout the year to enable the programs below.
Live Your Dream
Live Your Dream
We are seeking local women who are the primary financial support for themselves and their dependents, who want to improve their lives through education despite financial hardships. We provide financial grants which can be used for any needs. Applications are open for 10 weeks in the fall each year.
Winners at our local level are submitted at the Regional level and beyond within the Soroptimist organization for additional grants. One of our recent winners, pictured here, won our grant, plus a Regional grant!
Soroptimist International of Mountain Morning is proud to support and encourage young women, like Jordan, who is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Northern Arizona University.
Jordan became pregnant before her senior year in high school but still graduated with honors. She now juggles the responsibilities of full time school and raising a young daughter. She didn’t give up on her dream to attend college and aspires to achieve a degree in microbiology.
Dream It, Be It
Dream It, Be It
Although all girls face barriers because of their gender, Soroptimist prioritizes working with girls who have additional obstacles including poverty, unstable home lives, living in foster care, or teen motherhood. Our club works in partnership with local high schools in small groups or a conference setting to provide them with the information and resources they want and need to be successful.

While our main focus is to promote the defined Soroptimist programs above, our members are also busy helping meet other local needs. Here is a sample of these additional projects.
Bridge to Success
Bridge to Success
Beyond the Live Your Dream program, and unique to SI Mountain Morning, our Bridge to Success Program supports other deserving women and girls through cash awards.
Feeding our Community
Feeding our Community
We have a regular volunteer slot at Flagstaff Family Food Center to serve meals to community members.
Purse Project
Purse Project
We collect toiletries and information about community services, and fill gently used or new purses to distribute to women in our community who may need a helping hand.
Help us Support Women and Girls
We exist through the passionate commitment of our members, and the support of our community for our fundraising efforts.
We appreciate monetary donations, no matter how small.
We accept purses and toiletry items for our purse project.
We always welcome new members to help us in our mission.
